Prerequisite: Knowing how to read the Quran in arabic (Arabic I).
This class is essential for all muslims! Through the Semester you will learn how to read the Quran according to the rules of Tajweed (to make better improve recitation of the Quran). Worksheets will be given as supplemental materials to practice at home. You will also learn how to apply these rules in reading the Quran as well as recitation. Each verse you read in class will be explained with tafseer (understanding). You will also get a chance to practice 'Juz Amma and 'Juz Tabarak (as time permits).

Dawah Methodology is an excellent in depth course! Whether you use dawah in the workplace, at home, with friends, neighbors, etc.-this course can help in showing you how to speak and teach others about our beautiful way of life (Islam) using emotional, rational, and analytical methods. In this course you will examine how (the method) the Prophets peace be upon them called and informed others about Islam Tawheed (Oneness of Allah swt (God)). We will also highlight ways to practically implement dawah in everyday life. You will learn how to talk to christians, jews, atheists, and hindus, etc. You will even learn how to speak to atheists. You will learn about different types of dawah and why it's important. In addition, you will learn what mistakes to avoid and how to be a better dayea (caller to Allah swt (God)).
Science of Hadeeth

This class focuses on the sciences of Hadith and its most important terminologies. We will also be studying and dealing with Hadith books and the different types of Hadith books. We will also cover the biographies for the most important hadith scholars such as Imams: Bukhari, Muslim, Abu Dawud, a`t-Tirmidhī, a`n-Nasāī, Ibn Mājah, Ahmad Ibn Hanbal, Malik, and Aldaramee. Other modern scholars of hadith such as: Azami, Albani, Arnaoot will be studied, along with their books and biographies.
In this class we will be memorizing and studying the chain of narration and the matn of 5 hadiths. Inshaa Allah.

Arabic I is a great beginners course for those who want to learn how to read arabic letters. Learn how to correctly pronounce each constant, short vowel, and long vowel. You will learn how to connect letters to make simple words and eventually be able to read sentences. Everyone has to start somewhere and this class is a great place to do so!
Why I'm Muslim?

-How does Islam respond to Atheism?
When people grow up they often ask themselves, "Why am I muslim?". Why not be Christian, Jew, Atheist, or Agnostic? This course helps you answer the following: 1. Why should we consider Islam to be the Ultimate Truth and only way to salvation? 2. Why am I not interested in embracing another Religion or Worldview?
This class is based on Dr. Sami Ameri's book (in arabic) entitled, "Why am I a Muslim". We will discuss the following throughout the Semester relating to two major Doctrine Issues: The Existence of God Almighty (Allah swt) and His Unity in Oneness and the soundness of Mohamed saws' Prophethood. You will examine Philosophical, Scientific, and Historical evidences/arguments for Islam. Misconceptions about Islam, the problem of evil, the compatibility of Islam with biological evolution and the “Who made God?” dilemma are among the hot subjects to be presented and answered.
The primary goal of the course is to build a Solid and Rational Belief/Foundation that will help you feel the Love for your Faith and to be able to convey the Message of the late Prophet (peace be upon him) to others.
Tafseer Surah Al-Ankaboot

In this class we will be giving the Exegesis of Surah Al’Ankaboot as interpreted by the scholars of tafseer based on Quran, Hadith, and Arabic language. This class aims to relating the Quranic interpretation to your everyday Life and Spirituality. In this class we will start by giving a short recitation of the verses, and then explain the meanings to understand with deep reflection. Our goal is to complete one page per class.
